Vainglory
Activities
Choose one of the following
activities, do it, and write a 300-400-word reflection paper on It making sure
that your reflection includes discussion of the vice
(if you do an activity that shows up again,
you must choose a different activity)
1.
Do not look in a mirror or anything that provides a reflection for
at least 48 hours. Every time you are
tempted to look or catch yourself accidentally looking at yourself, make a
mental note of what was going through your mind, why you looked at yourself,
how often you catch yourself doing so, etc.
2.
Avoid promoting yourself and your opinions for 72 hours. Attempt to avoid mentioning yourself in
conversation online and face-to-face unless directly asked by a professor or
employer.
3.
Keep track for 3 days of each time
you notice in yourself the inclination to say or do something for the sake of
maintaining an image/having others think better of you/impressing someone/etc.
